The Supreme Court of Pakistan, in its recent order, allowed amendments to the “Government of Gilgit Baltistan Order” of 2018 to hold general elections in the region.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement, “India has issued a letter of objection to a senior Pakistani diplomat and has lodged a strong protest with Pakistan over the so-called Gilgit-Baltistan order of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

“It has been clearly stated that the entire union territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh including Gilgit and Baltistan are integral parts of India under a fully legal and irrevocable merger, the statement said.

Forcibly Occupied by Pakistan

The ministry said that the Pakistani government or its judiciary did not have the right to intervene in areas it had “illegally and forcibly occupied.”

The statement said that India completely rejects such steps and objected to Indian Jammu and Kashmir’s ongoing efforts to change the situation in Pakistan-occupied areas.

Besides this The Ministry of External Affairs said that Pakistan’s recent move cannot conceal nor expose its “illegal occupation” over the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

And parts of Ladakh that has been inhabiting these areas for the past seven decades People have “human rights violated, exploited and were deprived of freedom”.

Earlier at a UN Human Rights Council meeting in February, a top Indian diplomat said that Jammu and Kashmir was “an integral part of India” and always will be.

Will not give any money or shelter to terrorists
